What the role involves?
At JULABO we offer the best comprehensive support to all our clients and users within a wide range of industries from chemical synthesis, automotive, food, pharmacy and temperature calibration.
The Support Engineer is a key customer facing part of this approach. The role is a mix between office and field based and requires great interpersonal skills and flexibility:
- installation and commissioning of units at clients’ sites
- training of operators and supporting them with applications, setup, and automation/computer control
- on site preventative maintenance, calibration, and service
- advising customers on technical issues and fault diagnosis. Including part numbers/pricing on the phone and via e-mail
- modification and upgrades of JULABO equipment
- compiling method statements and risk assessments for the workshop and onsite visits
- ensuring demo units are in working order; assisting with loading and unloading
- following up leads from sales teams with regards to support service and repairs
